It’s easy to get caught up in the grind and forget to pursue things that light you up inside. That brings me to the beginning of my Performance Pudding story.
A friend of mine that owns a cafe & gallery asked me about healthy snacks I eat so I shared a recipe with him. I then started bringing samples in for his team, then some for other friends and customers. Eventually he wanted to start offering a limited supply to his regular customers.
So, now, here I am, whipping up pudding by hand in the evening, then finalizing the prep in the mornings.
We came up with the name, branding, and packaging in probably less than 24 hours. Then, our production costs, margins, and logistics shortly thereafter.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking about whether this is actually a viable business opportunity, but I've been mostly focused on what I’ve been feeling. It’s been nice thinking about taking something I eat every single day, something incredibly nutritious, and hand prepping it for perfect strangers to consume. Will we scale up production? I don’t know. What I’m focused on right now is that it excites me to know I’m personally providing something incredibly healthy to people on a local level.
We even started to host special themed monthly group workouts to inspire and motivate everyone to prioritize their fitness and health.
